- a Philips Hue bridge with at least one controlled bulb
- LIFX bulbs

Hue Scintillator app good for
U can get 5 Stars if the app works in iOS 7. at the Moment the Long tap to edit did not work...
This app is really the most beautiful and impressive application for the hue system but unfortunately absolutely useless if you couldnt run it in background.
Nobody will have a look at his iPhone when talking to friends or watching a movie. But if you not, all the great functions freeze as soon as the iPhone goes to his standby mode.
Please update asap to a background function.
This app offers really nice effects and a powerful editor to design your own light patterns with HUE.

This is certainly one of the best apps to have if you have a hue set. So many options. Great app. Get it.
Some bad moments
The UI could be structured much better, then it would be quicker to access the functions and also easier to understand and more fun to use. Limited functionality, also not very smart lamp selection mechanism. Would not buy again...
If you disable the microphone (to be able to use Airplay) it does not work in the background and/or if the phone is off anymore. Other Apps are able to however...
As a lighting app, Scinillator works great. The only problem is that it suppresses all iPhone sounds when it is running.
Ive downloaded nearly all the apps and this one is the best by far.

A great selection of presets make this app easy to use. I love the animated flickering candle potion. These color blends are professional and animated. A simple setting allowed me to designate any combination of lights. I only had to set up the combinations once and they became just a click to choose. After using the presets, I started making my own custom combinations. Its my favorite HUE spp.
i have had the hue since it was released in dec. 2012, ive upgraded to seven bulbs... and likewise ive purchased almost every app released for the Hue, including Disco, Golden Hue Remote... etc.. also i dont waste my time writing many reviews-

because this app is light years ahead of all its competition... if you enjoy, desire, or need the perfect living ambiance to mirror your mood... or to change it- this app is it. Period. after using it, ive deleted all the other nonsense ive accumulated cluttering my iPhone.
THIS IS THE ONLY HUE APP YOU NEED, and just like the clever physics reference or property adopted as the moniker of this beautiful app... the most clever thing you can do is buy this.... seriously...

you dont even have to press the dam button on your hue to get this up and running! haha. all jokes aside, ice only taken the time to write this lengthy soliloquy of praise because i was that impressed.
